The word Spaniel comes from Espagnol, Spanish where all spaniels originate from. Largest of the spaniel breeds normally 19-20 inches at the shoulder and 40-45 pounds. Originally bred for flushing ‘springing’ game. Happy temperament, playful and very affectionate with plenty of energy. This lively dog is easy to train and eager to please their master. Can be trained to become good watch dogs.
