This large ceramic whisky decanter is made by Pointers of London Ltd here in the UK. It stands 22cm tall and holds 1 litre or 10cl. The decanter is hexagonal and has two hunting scenes that each cover two sides.  On the fifth side is the following text:-

The English Foxhunting Decanter

Fox hunting has for centuries been one of the great field sports of England and it is certainly the most spectactular, crammed with colour, pageantry, and tradition. Each region in the land has its own local hunt and pack of hounds with its own loyal members, followers and supporters.

The Hunting seasons starts in the Autumn, when the crops have been gathered in from the fields and ends in the Spring,when work starts again on the land.During the winter hounds are hunted on several days of the week.

The meet takes place mid-morning usually on the lawn of a members home or, as shown in one of the scenes on this decanter, at a local inn, where a stirrup cup is offered to the followers.The other main scene on the decanter shows the chase when hounds have found a scent of a fox and are pursuing their quarry across the countryside at full cry. This is a breathtaking spectacle, filled with drama, excitement, and an element of danger.

Surveying the scene from the top of the decanter is the wild and cunning fox, familiarly known in hunting circles as Charlie whose speed, when he is in his prime, usually keeps him a pace ahead of hounds, but whose culling, through hunting, is essential to the ecology of the English countryside.

Also around the neck of the decanter are horses, hounds and terriers.
